The storyteller relates the story (to be written) about the special friendships, where two people meet and become special friends and the part that is replaced becomes another person who may some day find another friend who can help to improve again. Then he tells the children that the time they have shared today has made them all special friends, and that he has improved a little with each story they shared during their visit. Now there is a piece of him that has split off and become another man, one who is not quite as wonderful as he feels right now. And if he's lucky, that man will find another group of children who will share some time with him, and then that man will feel as special as he (the storyteller) does. During your life, you will meet many people who will share some time with you and give you gifts, like toys that you can play with or clothes that you can wear. But I am not rich with money: the only thing that makes me rich is the stories I have to offer. And so I hand them down to you, and after this we will leave each other. Some of you may see me again, and some of you may not. But if you see someone who looks like they might need a special friend, please share some of your time and perhaps a story with them. This is the greatest gift we have to offer each other. And if you see me walking down the road, and you have a story to tell, please stop me and share it with me. I would love to hear it.
